I have been involved in a relationship that spans more than 30 years. It has been a fairly good relationship with a few rocky patches here and there. However of late there seems to be a fissure that is growing larger. It is as if the relationship has reached a turning point that will take us in new directions, separately. I am having difficulty seeing beyond the widening gap. I am not certain if it is because I am to close to the situation and not seeing clearly. Or, is it that I know there will be a parting of ways and do not want to accept the possibility ... several indicators keep cropping up that the purpose of the friendship has run its course. Any ideas that coming anybody's way would be appreciated.
